    Hey guys,

I am having troubles running network scans after installing nmap.

    I am given the following:

    “””
    Checking for NMAP

NMAP is installed, running NMAP scan now…

    Executing NMAP Scan…

‘nmap’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    NMAP scan is complete…
    “””

Is there a workoround for this or a script would need to be deployed that will add nmap to Enviroment variables on every machine we have set up in LabTech?

    Kindly,

    Teo

  2. Please verify that nmap is in the path for your system,

It may have failed install so test for that aswell

Thank you for your reply Cubert.

I have checked that Nmap is in the correct path for the system I am testing on. Also installation looks successful – all files are at C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap

I also confirmed that C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap\nmap.exe is opening ok.

Am I doing something wrong :/

We also have run into the same issue trying to get this to work. I have disabled the plugin for now, but it installs nmap successfully, detects it, but when trying to run we get the same error.

I have added the nmap directory to the system path and that works for me to run it anywhere via cli, but it does not function through labtech.

    Any thoughts?

  5. Gents, We now update this plugin to include several fixes including the NMAp path issue. The plugin should now auto update and no longer require a imported script to work. Just install the DLL file and you are good to go.

I ran some test scan. where do I see the results?

the tab has some info but I feel tehre should be more somewhere.

Checking for installed PCAP and NMAP software
    …….
    Found NMAP
    “C:\Program Files (x86)\Nmap\nmap.exe” -sT -R 192.XX.XXX.2-254
    Executing NMAP Scan…
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
    OK
    NMAP scan is complete…
